This organization works to make aging better for LGBT people nationwide.

AARP – American Association of Retired Persons
This organization is a United States-based interest group whose stated mission is “to empower people to choose how they live as they age.” AARP knows that the history of the LGBT movement is still being written. By understanding history, we can create a better future for everyone, especially for our aging LGBT older adults. To learn more about the challenges facing older LGBT Americans, please visit AARP’s National Survey on Maintaining Dignity.

National Resource Center on LGBT Aging – This is the country’s first and only technical assistance resource center aimed at improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults.
